France, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, United States – Folk, oriental rock
When continents collide, they make a thunderous noise. Al-Qasar creates the soundtrack to this earthquake. He calls it “Arab fuzz,” a vision that is brazenly electric and deeply connected to his roots.
The group was created by producerThomas Attar Bellierand brought together musicians from France, Lebanon, the United States, Morocco, Algeria, Armenia and Egypt.
Based on the dream of a project that is in line with the daily lives of the inhabitants of major international cities, the group, after releasing a critically acclaimed first EP "Miraj", unveils its first album "Who Are We?" (2022). Drums, bass and traditional percussion intertwine and create a mix of Arabic grooves, psychedelia and North African trance. It is an electric album featuring distinguished guests: Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) and singer Alsarah, among others.
Who are we? This existential question chosen by Al-Qasar to title their first album, will resonate on the Bout du Monde site this summer. Their performance around modern folklore will attempt to answer this question posed to our entire era.

Scotland, Italy, France, Austria – Celtic Folk
Composed of 5 musicians from 4 different countries, Fourth Moon is a unique band on the current Celtic scene. It is the story of an Austrian, a Scottish, a French and an Italian who use their different musical backgrounds to create a fresh, powerful and unique sound. The four virtuosos experiment together with new ways to create a current sound with varied influences.
At the end of 2017 the group released their first album "Ellipsis", considered by the international press as one of the essential folk records.
Fall 2021 sees the release of their second album "Odyssey" and the return of the group on stage as a quartet or quintet accompanied by the wonderful Scottish singer Ainsley Hamill.

Scotland – Rock
Since the early 2000s, Franz Ferdinand has been a staple in the indie rock scene. “Ulysses”, “Take me out”, “Do you want to” are now classics that continue to resonate around the world.
"Hits to the Head", their new album, is a chronological journey through Franz Ferdinand's career: it includes hits from their early career, such as "Darts Of Pleasure" and "The Dark Of The Matinee", but also the songs "Michael" and "This Fire", which recall their attraction to the dancefloor.
This compilation will satisfy fans of the group, as well as newcomers looking to discover catchy, dynamic and furiously effective pop pieces.
Since October 2021, Paul Thomson has left the group, wishing to devote himself to the group Polyester Mais, which he created with his wife. This is the reason whyAlex KapranosAndRobert Hardywill be joined on stage by Hector Bizerk's former drummer:Audrey Tait.
Franz Ferdinand delivers basic and sophisticated rock, euphoric; their songs are designed like roller coasters: an ideal cocktail to set Landaoudec on fire!

Spain – Folk – rock
La MODA (acronym for La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol), is a Spanish group with folk, blues and rock influences.
In 2023, La MODA returns with a new album, Nuevo Cancionero Burgalés, produced by Gorka Urbizu (Berri Txarrak). This one is inspired by the popular repertoire of their land, with lyrics taken from the popular songbooks of Federico Olmeda (1903) and Antonio José (1932) and music composed by the group.
Their approach is as fresh as it is respectful, with a staging with traditional accents.
On stage there will be a strong inclusion of instruments: clarinet, tuba, vibraphone, baritone sax or violin trumpet; the use of all kinds of guitars, banjos or mandolins, and the presence of traditional percussions of Castilian folklore. In addition, in the new compositions there is a greater freedom of structure as well as rhythmic variety.

Mexico – Rock – folk – latin
Lila Downs is one of the most influential artists in Latin America. A formidable singer, whose voice ranges from deep bass to subtle high notes, she is known for her charismatic performances.
This velvet Mexican voice approaches different styles through her compositions, including cumbia, ranchera, corrido, bolero and Latin American songs with important social content through her favorite subjects: social justice, immigration and the future of women.
American on her father's side, Mexican on her mother's side (Zapotec Indian), Lila Downs affirms through her albums the pride of those from Oaxaca. In this mountainous region, 500 kilometers from Mexico City, people never cease to fear and worship the invisible forces and saints who govern daily life. Lila contributes through her songs to keeping the culture of native American languages such as Zapotec, Mixtec, Nahuatl, Maya and Purepecha active.
Throughout her career, Lila has recorded 14 albums and has been nominated for 9 Grammy Awards. She has won 6, rewarding her artistic work; the fruit of prestigious collaborations with great figures of Latin American music such as Mercedes Sosa, Caetano Veloso, Juan Gabriel, Santana, Diego El Cigala, Celso Piña and Toto La Momposina…. As for Chavela Vargas, before reaching the firmament, she will have made Lila, according to her, her heir.

Egypt – Macedonia – Balkan Music
A meeting between the Orient and the shores of the Mediterranean: come and discover the creation between the voice of the Egyptian diva Natacha Atlas and the virtuoso gypsy trumpeter from Macedonia Dzambo Agusevi Orchestra.
Natacha Atlas is one of the most remarkable voices in the Arab world, recognized for her ability to brilliantly synthesize the vocal traditions of the West and the Middle East through a discography as rich as it is diverse. A fan of innovative musical mixes, Natacha Atlas has ventured into the world of jazz and electro in recent years. A sophisticated musical discourse that the singer this time associates with the virtuoso trumpeter.
Dzambo, the essential gypsy trumpeter from Macedonia, originally from Turkey, is accompanied by his fanfare, whose incandescent brass instruments have an irresistible rhythm. With breathtaking virtuosity and infectious energy, they reinvent gypsy traditions to the rhythm of their multiple cosmopolitan influences (Latin, Turkish, funk, jazz, rock).

Ivory Coast – Reggae
At 54, Ivorian singer Tiken Jah Fakoly is back in the spotlight with an album and a tour. In “Braquage de pouvoir,” released in November 2022, he blames in Bambara, French and English these presidents for life who are preventing African politics, and these all-powerful religious leaders who are putting the population to sleep.
Exiled in Mali for many years, following threats in Ivory Coast, he returned to record “Braquage de Pouvoir”, his 12th album in Abidjan.
For "La Potion", the Ivorian reggae icon returns in particular to his Rasta initiation, the importance of traditional spiritualities for the African continent, his pilgrimage to Jamaican lands, the terrible consequences of religious extremism and the legacy of Haile Selassie and Marcus Garvey. One love!
Tiken Jah Fakoly has had reggae in his heart and body since at least 1987: the time when he discovered all the great masters - from Bob Marley to Burning Spears - and formed Les Djélys, his first group. Before devoting himself to his solo career with "Mangercratie", a first album released in 1996 that would contribute to the glory days of African reggae, following in the footsteps of pioneers Lucky Dubé and Alpha Blondy.
More than three decades after his debut, we find the Ivorian rasta at the End of the World. A promising concert in "Yes high",
“Jah Bless”, “Burn Babylon, buuurn” and other “Peace and one love”!

France – Reunion Island – Creole poetry
The Wati Watia Zorey Band is a joyful bazaar, a tasty micmac led by six Zorey (or zoreilles) musicians, that is to say non-Creole. This nickname refers to the metropolitans who have recently arrived on the islands, who struggle to grasp the accents and ask to repeat themselves to better understand. It is a wink from Rosemary Stanley and Marjolaine Karlin, who have strained their ears to grasp all the Creoleness of Reunion, their chosen homeland, to which they pay homage with this project.
A violin, a fife, and the immense sky opens up before us. Two voices cross it, a duo of swallows playing their perpetual reunions, joined by percussions hitting like waves on jagged coasts. This is the opening of the album Déliryom, the beginning of this wati watia.
Rosemary StandleyAndMarjolaine Karlinmet at a Reunion maloya concert in Paris. That was in 2008. Their fascination for the island, its rhythms, its language born for poetry brought them together – as did their love for Alain Peters, a capital poet and celestial vagabond, or rather his ghost, since he passed away in 1995, leaving behind some twenty songs that have drawn a fertile horizon for all the musicians of Reunion… and elsewhere!
Five years after giving birth to a first album (Zanz in Lanfèr, 2016), the two singers continue this great journey, exploring other pieces forged over the course of concerts, always in the company of percussionist Salvador Douézy, and new zorey who have joined them.
At the End of the World, they invite us to this beautiful rhythmic interlude in the middle of the islands where music and singing are much more than entertainment: a way of being in the world.
Saturday August 5th

France – Occitanie – Polyphony
Barrut? It is a beast composed of three women, four men including a percussionist who play polyphony and who hit very hard on drums. This wild sound beast, which sometimes cries, often roars, makes their poetic chronicles of today's world resonate. A unique polyphony, both current and timeless.
After two first EPs, "Eponyme" in 2015 and "Agram" in 2017, it was on the snowy plateau of Aubrac that Audrey Hoyuelos, Erwan Billon, Delphine Grellier, Maud Seguier, Olivier Grolleau, Samuel Grolleau and Titouan Billon recorded their first album "La Part de l'Orage" in 2021. They mix tales, myths, childhood memories, joys and political struggles of today to bring out their humanist anthem in the Occitan language. With its original compositions imbued with the vigor of popular song, the 7 voices draw their fevers and expressions from their revolt in a music constantly tense above the madness of the world.
On stage, find the beast of Barrut, between wild energy and poetic ballads. Their hypnotic polyphonies will take us into a universal trance that stirs the entrails.

Belgium – Rock
dEUS is a Belgian indie rock band from Antwerp. Formed in 1991 byTom Barman, it is one of the very first Belgian rock groups to have achieved a certain popularity at the international level.
After eleven years of absence, faithful to their 1990s signature, the Flemish are making their big comeback with "How to Replace it" released in 2023. In this eighth album we find their unclassifiable rock and everything we love about dEUS: the fever, the electric rage, the poetry, the finesse of the arrangements, the endless hypnotic bursts. Tom Barman wanted to return to the beginning: he was the one who brought a good part of the material, to which the others then grafted themselves. As on Love Breakdown, How to Replace It, Dream Is a Giver.
Titles that are indeed very “Deusian”: a little pop, a little rock, but above all frankly unclassifiable.
On stage, we invite you to rediscover and discover their crazy titles, uniquely and undoubtedly dEUS.

France – Folk-rock song
The faux-frères have chosen to appeal to what has always characterized Maison Tellier: sincerity, elegance, the joy of doing what they love above all else.
La Maison Tellier is not just a short story by Maupassant, it is also the name of a French band created in 2004. Initially, it was a duo with brothers Raoul and Helmut Tellier, musicians fond of country, folk and blues, then a full-fledged band with Léopold on trumpet, bassist Alphonse and drummer Jeff. The influences are Calexico, 16 Horsepower, Bonnie Prince Billy or Devendra Banhart, a mix of vintage flavors and modern textures, pop and rock, Old Continent and New World.
The brothers will come to present Atlas, their 7th album conceived in uncertain times, born of fading landmarks and a world that is collapsing. Its elegant songs, in the vicinity of Jean-Louis Murat and his pensive contemplation of the natural curves of the surrounding landscapes, celebrate the fragile beauty of the world and its possible refuges.
In combat formation, against a backdrop of burning lights to make the shadows dance on the walls of our modern caves, the family, inundated with new blood, alternates between woody sweetness and electric claw strokes for a concert rich in pure emotion and timeless beauty.

France – Festive song
Emerging at the height of the alternative rock boom in the mid-80s, the group Négresses Vertes invented a new popular music at the confluence of Mediterranean and Anglo-Saxon influences.
The group was formed in 1987 by musicians, some of whom came from punk rock.
At first, their music combines the guinguette style with Mediterranean music. Whether it's "Zobi la mouche" or "Voilà l'été", the Négresses Vertes convey a certain idea of partying, they revisit their diverse origins (Spanish or gypsy) and make people swing on stage with their mixed songs. Then, recently, they opened up to electronic music.
After exceptional concerts in France and around the world over the last three years, the legendary group continues its journey in France, in Landaoudec.
There is no doubt that the Négresses vertes will know how to liven up this 23rd edition which will vibrate to the sounds of “Voilà l'été”!

United States – Brass band funk
Lucky Chops is big, brassy, and bold. The six-piece New York band has brought audiences in over 30 countries to thousands of shows with catchy grooves and powerful, sing-along melodies.
Lucky Chops first learned to entertain by busking for crowds from around the world on the New York subway, but now they have the world dancing with their unique sound and energy. Born on the streets of New York City's multicultural melting pot, the brass band pays homage to the American brass band tradition of New Orleans while fusing their melody with eclectic rock, Caribbean, Eastern European, funk, jazz, ska, gospel and EDM. A true homage to New York, every track on their fourth album
“New Days” released in September 2022 is accompanied by a music video that represents part of their city.
Lucky Chops has a supercharged and colorful set in pretty copper tones in store for us on the lawn of the End of the World.

France – Haiti – Voodoo, blues, incantatory rock
A sensual, soulful, magnificent and fervent voice, for a journey into the immense diversity of the Haitian soul. A powerful and unprecedented fusion between the voodoo melodies and rhythms of the Caribbean and the US blues rock of the 70's, Moonlight Benjamin makes the voices of Haitian poets resonate.
In 2002, she began her career with the group Dyaoulé Pemba (World Music discovery of the Printemps de Bourges), then accomplished herself with various jazz and world music collaborations with Omar Sosa and Jacques Schwarz-Bart (Victoires du Jazz on France TV). Moonlight Benjamin returned in 2020 with a third album "Simido", this time focused on more electric music, carried by guitarist and arranger Matthis Pascaud. By revisiting the repertoire, the quartet gives the songs and compositions a contemporary dimension. In Creole or French, at the crossroads of world music, jazz and song, Moonlight Benjamin sings the defense of identity with rare emotion and extraordinary strength.
A shocking concert between the powerful and rebellious voice of Moonlight and the tension of saturated guitars, voodoo trance in a new and explosive form to discover on stage!

Togo – Voodoo – trans
The feminist voodoo musical revolution is underway and is called NANA BENZ DU TOGO. "Who does not respect women, does not respect nature". Led by three singers, Togolese priestesses, this collective intends to shake up patriarchal society by revealing DIY music, where traditions and urban rhythms transport the listener into a futuristic dimension.
NBT is inspired by the journey of these strong women of the 50s, business ladies of loincloths and wax who boosted the history of Togo. Worthy heirs of their courage and their pan-Africanism, Lady Apoc,Izea LeduAndParus Kekelitake up the torch calling for the emancipation of African women within a powerful, feminist digital voodoo project.
Guided by the commandments of the supreme divinity, Mother Nature, the Nana Benz of Togo appropriate voodoo harmonies in a militant soul supported by complex rhythms produced with instruments created from recycled materials.
The 100% Do It Yourself rhythm section is composed of Toto Tchilatchi's recycled drums and Kasanku's PVC tube bass. Together, they create a groove that draws on the ancestral sounds of Dahomey and the electronic atmospheres present in the streets of Lomé. NBT's first album recorded in the capital, under the leadership of Peter Solo (leader of Vaudou Game), reconciles eras and generations and brings an unprecedented fusion to the music of the African continent.
The funky trance of these women will set the plains of the End of the World ablaze this summer.

New Zealand – New Caledonia – Rock – flamenco
This group formed by the New ZealanderNadav Tabakand New CaledonianAlex Champis a fan of busking in Australia. Opal Ocean takes you without warning to a punchy acoustic rock that is reminiscent of Rodrigo y Gabriela, but with their own personality.
With their intricate technique and intensely hypnotic, psychedelic spin on acoustic sound, Opal Ocean have unleashed a monumental set of captivating songs on their debut album.
“Lost Fables” released in 2016, which would establish their name across the world through tours in Canada, New Zealand and Europe.
On their latest EP, “Fish Food”, released at the start of 2023, we find a breathtaking set of five covers like no other, played
as only this expressively dynamic duo could. The range of songs explores the music of Joe Satriani, the White Stripes, System Of Down, Infected Mushroom and Pink Floyd.
Join them on stage for a captivating concert.

Mali – Wassoulou
Oumou Sangaré upholds humanist values and her fight for female emancipation. Diva of the voiceless and majestic icon, the Malian singer reconnects with the dance rhythms and haunting melodies of the Wassoulou tradition to enchant an Africa that is as ancestral as it is contemporary.
His latest album mixes Malian music and voices with rock, folk and blues influences for a timeless result, transcending genres and borders.
Settled in the United States during the Covid-19 pandemic, she spends her days composing with an old acquaintance, Mamadou Sidibé, who was the first kamele n'goni (traditional lute) player to accompany her when she started out. This forced seclusion gave birth to ten of the eleven songs that make up "Timbuktu", a collection that forges intimate sonic connections between traditional West African instruments and those linked to the history of the blues - notably between the kamele n'goni and its distant heirs, the dobro guitar and the slide guitar, played here by Pascal Danaë co.
Oumou Sangaré once again demonstrates her talent, her passion and her knowledge in the service of resilience, hope and positivity.

France – Electro
Little Biscuit is back!
After a break following his album “Parachute” in 2020, the Rouen producer seems to be preparing for a new cycle of releases and concerts for 2023. With several international tours under his belt, Petit Biscuit knows how to set the stage alight during his shows mixing electronic music, world music and pop.
This is his first visit to the End of the World, and he will offer festival-goers a new facet of his project with its crazy energy.
Little Biscuit, his real nameMehdi Benjelloun, is a DJ and producer from Rouen. After starting out on the Internet, he became known thanks to his track “Sunset Lover”, featured on his first EP.
During his childhood, he was lulled by oriental music that his father made him listen to and classical music that his mother introduced him to.
He began taking cello lessons at the age of 5 before moving on to the guitar. He studied music theory for 5 years and also taught himself the piano. At the age of 12-13, he was already composing.
In addition to his parental influences, Petit Biscuit is crazy about the electro music of Flume and Odesza or the Amsterdam scene. Passionate, he spends hours on the internet looking for new sounds, new artists, until the day he considers getting into it.

Cuba – Cuban Jazz
Roberto Fonseca definitely has several strings to his piano. Already known to Landaoudec, he accompanied his friend, the late Ibrahim Ferrer, in the formation that accompanied him in 2003.
Since then, few artists have established themselves with such virtuosity. Roberto Fonseca knows how to do everything: jazz of course, but also funk, blues, rap, afrojazz, soul, hip-hop and of course the music of his country, Cuba, of which he has become one of the great ambassadors.
At once producer, arranger, conductor and composer, Roberto Fonseca is one of those pianists curious about life, and his art is enriched by everything he observes and assimilates. It is his enthusiasm that earned him his place in the Buena Vista Social Club, then to play with the greatest (Rubén González, Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker or Wayne Shorter), before establishing himself as one of the major figures of current Cuban jazz.
“I am so excited to be able to share this journey with my audience, wherever they welcome me,” he shared. The BDM is happy with this invitation…to travel!
We will therefore welcome him for his new album, "Yesun", whose title evokes the water drawn from the well, a water which represents Afro-Cuban history, and which looks towards the future.

France – Electro – hip-hop
Wax Tailor, the master sorcerer of samples, will be with us!
With his 6 albums and some 800 concerts all over the world, French producer Wax Tailor has naturally become one of the ambassadors of the international electro hip-hop scene. A status acquired with time and experience, which has earned him the opportunity to collaborate closely with some big names in the industry: Ghostface Killah from Wu-Tang, Sharon Jones, Aloe Blacc, Tricky and Lee Fields.
Fifteen years after his first album, the French producer continues to strike the chords of activism in an increasingly refined musical style.
For 2023, the French producer announces a new album “Fishing for Accidents”.
Wax Tailor is a rap fan, a real one. And if the author of "Que Sera" triumphed thanks to a subtle trip-hop borrowing from all styles, his tropism for rhythm and poetry has, since his beginnings, never wavered. This sixth album draws heavily on hip-hop instincts, Jean-Christophe le Saout and his accomplices thus unmask with sarcasm and mockery the scams and deceptions of the system.
Sunday August 6th

United States – Folk Song
Alela Diane's timbre became legendary with The Pirate's Gospel, the album of her revelation. Radiating an intense inner light, she sings as if in an inhabited dream.
After the dazzling "Cuspen" 2018, the American Francophile comes to France to present her 7th album "Looking Glass" released in 2022. This album, inspired by Lewis Carroll, crosses the mirror between sounds of the past and the future with lulling inflections. By the sole grace of the serenity of her voice placed on well-tempered instruments, Alela Diane, like Joan Baez in the past, reaches a folk summit. Through these pieces, we enter a dream made of memories and introspection. But introspection in Alela Diane is always connected to the global: relationships with others, the state of the world, the degradation of nature. Listening to her sing is like looking in a mirror and seeing someone else.
On stage, in an indie folk register, the graceful voice of Alela Diane will be there to move the audience at Bout du Monde.

Finland – Viking Trance
Antti Paalanen is known for his intense and hypnotic solo performances where he pushes his instrument to its limits.
The bisonoric (diatonic) accordion, a common instrument in Finnish folk music, rubs shoulders with heavy metal and electronic dance music.
And for this concert, the Viking wanted to combine traditional Finnish music with Breton music.
At the End of the World, it is a return for the man-instrument to Finistère soil after an exceptional performance in 2022. We invite you to vibrate before the result of this creation with the musicians of the Brest conservatory where it will sometimes be impossible for you to discern the musicians from the instruments.

Belgium – Brittany – Desert Blues
DALVA hits the road again to present his album RAIL on stage, a blues of urban deserts taking shape in a dreamlike and powerful live performance, carrying a joyful and embodied rage.
DALVA is a music that sways between blues-roots and urban rock, desert trance and hypnotic pop.
In this first album, DALVA crisscrosses these rails of flesh that link the mangroves of Mississippi to the noise of decadent metropolises. She sings of chained freedoms with a wolf's voice, blowing rage and dreams along the rails that bring us together, beyond the cries of a world on borrowed time.

Brazil – Samba, soul, disco
At ease with both codified traditions and mutant aesthetics, Joao Selva's music is an invigorating dance and dream machine that updates the tropicalist revolution of the '70s with a turbulent mix of samba soul, cosmic jazz and disco funk.
Nearly two years after the catchy and captivating "Navegar" (2021) and its tracks full of tropicalist nostalgia like Cadê Você, Brazilian singer João Selva is back with a new album, "Passarinho" ("Little Bird"), which will be released in early 2023. Adopted by Lyon, the singer continues his journey in mixed music, offering a pop record imbued with tropical and tropicalist influences, and whose eponymous title sounds the alarm for the planet.
On stage, the Brazilian singer and composer will come to entertain the audience at Le Bout du Monde with his sunny poetry on lush orchestrations where the words dance to a sensual Latin jazz groove.

France – Folk – rock
The touching texts ofGaetan Roussel, the solid bass line ofRobin Feixand the bewitching violinfrom Arnaud Samuelwill resonate on the meadow, because 2023 will finally mark the return to the stage of the legendary French pop-rock group of the 2000s: Louise Attaque!
The desire to get back into the ring is palpable for the 3 musicians, so much so that the group defends its new album "Planète Terre", like a desire to bite the dust! Louise counterattacks!
A raw sound for an electric album, dotted with pretty ballads enhanced with strings and brass, Planète Terre is a stripped-down and very successful record, on which the great producer Tchad Blake has left his mark.
The band talks about the quest for identity ("Mon cher, aujourd'hui ma chère"), lack of confidence ("La Frousse"), indifference ("Pas se voir)" and love, of course. It's an album that tries to chase away the clouds of the moment, a record concerned with the state of our blue planet and the bonds that unite humans.
Words that hit the mark, unwavering commitment, and a unifying folk-rock sound: the recipe has made them immensely successful, since their first album in 1997, now considered one of the greatest successes in French-speaking music.
They will celebrate their 25th anniversary at the End of the World, we imagine in front of festival-goers drunk with joy!

France – Electro
With a surprising bamboo instrumentarium, Asian percussions, the sound of the earth mixed with electronic vibrations, Makoto San shapes a transcendental and spectacular world, an invitation to travel, to hypnosis but also to frenzy and exaltation. The vibration and raw energy that this grass gives off leaves its mark.
The depth of bamboo, the power of skins, the crystalline of metals and electronic effervescence intermingle to plunge you into a mystical spell.
It is live that we take the measure of Makoto San's extreme transversality.
The project cultivates the mixture of genres and offers a unique experience. The show oscillates between the ultra ceremonial tension of Japanese percussion shows and the dancing release of the techno club.
Changes of scene and atmosphere, the spotlight on the instrumentarium, the strangeness, the voices that make you travel, the devastating drops, a tension that only increases and a question that remains: who is hiding behind these masks?

Germany – Electro
Meute is a brass band like no other. Originally from Hamburg, this band has decided to cover the classics of techno and electro with a strong brass section. A real treat for the ears!
“The Man with the Red Face”, by Laurent Garnier, “You
It all started as a small experimental project on the streets of Hamburg's St. Pauli district. From this, a world-famous phenomenon was born in a very short time.
The band revolutionizes techno and redefines the idea of the fanfare. They are the guarantors of viral hits and sold-out concerts: these musicians spread a "techno ecstasy" and reveal to us a world of colorful and intoxicating excesses that promises moments of happiness with a wild rhythm.
They will be on the meadow for their new album, "Taumel". If the intention of Meute remains the same, with its eleven musicians dressed in their emblematic red jackets, some new features will perhaps excite the ears of the most knowledgeable of the group. Indeed, for the first time, one of the musicians - the saxophonist Philipp Andernach, gives voice and we must admit that we like this new feature a lot.

France – Hip-hop, electro
Smokey Joe Matthieu Perrein and Hugo Sanchez, passionate as much about US hip hop and bass music as about the groove of melodies from the beginning of the 20th century. Percussion solos played with scratch, beats and melodies interpreted on the MPC: everything is played live. A resolutely hip-hop bias on samples always inspired by the repertoire of traditional American music.
60 million streams after their 2nd album "Running To The Moon", the duo's 3rd album "War Is Over" released in 2021 is a dive into 70's funk and soul with the same desire to extract the essential: the beauty of the melodies and the relentless groove. This new opus marks a turning point in the group's production method. The horn section present on the Running To The Moon tour invested in the composition and thus brings a more organic touch to the album. As usual, the duo surrounded itself with a horde of cult singers and MCs: RA The Rugged Man, Pavan
On stage, come and discover their latest album which sounds like a declaration of love to black American music, from Early Jazz to Hip Hop, including Soul and Funk.

United States – Folk-Jazz
An Intimate Evening of Songs and Stories
Revealed in the folk revival with the albums "Suzanne Vega" (1985) and "Solitude Standing" (1987), the singer and guitarist born in Santa Monica found international success with "Luka", a title on the theme of abused children. Passionate about poetry and writing since childhood, Suzanne Vega embarked on the path of experimentation before returning to this elegant and melancholic folk jazz music on which she places her inimitable voice. In 2019, the artist sings about her love for her adopted city on the album An Evening of New York Songs And Stories.
In her new album, Suzanne Vega revisits her most "New York" repertoire with her long-time guitarist,Gerry Leonard, bassist Jeff Allenetand the keyboard playerJamie Edwards. Recorded at New York’s famed Café Carlyle in early 2019, the album features familiar favorites like “Luka” and “Tom’s Diner” alongside more intimate catalog numbers like “Frank and Ava” and “Ludlow Street.” The mix of tracks also includes “New York Is My Destination” from Lover, Beloved: Songs from an Evening with Carson McCullers, Vega’s one-woman show about Southern Gothic novelist Carson McCullers, and a cover of her friend Lou Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side.”
For her live session, the artist will be accompanied by her faithful guitarist Gerry Leonard.

Denmark, Ghana – Soul, afrobeat, reggae
Total Hip Replacement
In the winter of 2021, the musicians of Total Hip Replacement formed a 9-piece band with some of Ghana’s best young musicians. Together, they wrote and recorded an album “Anyankofo” in Accra, Ghana, which was released in 2022. The album features some of Ghana’s biggest stars such as Pat Thomas, Rocky Dawuni and Kwame Yeboah as well as rising stars Asi Renie and Worlasi. In Twi, the Ghanaian language, “Anyankofo” means “friendship”, this friendship is not only evident in the collaboration with local musicians, but also in the lyrics. Indeed, “Anyankofo” describes the multifaceted nature of this relationship: genres from different regions of the world merge, while people from different countries enter into a dialogue. Total Hip Replacement thus creates world music in the best sense of the word – warm, cozy and full of irresistible grooves.
On stage, the songs will resonate with a warm, upbeat expression and a strong sense of community, a show not to be missed.

Finland – folk hop vocal
Fierce energy, beatbox rhythms and otherworldly harmonies: TUULETAR (goddess of wind in Finnish mythology) revisits Finnish music in a post-modern and new approach, original and invigorating.
The four versatile virtuoso singers create a captivating, tribal soundscape, combining multiple influences with tradition and poetry. Through saturated bass drops, spherical harmonies, intense emotions and real temperament, all with human voices.
The four singers have been performing on stages all over the world for ten years now, delighting their audiences with an unusual mix of pop and folk music, mainly in Finnish.
The album Tules Maas Vedes Taivaal ('In Water and Sky', L'usine Bafe, 2016), a huge international success, won the EMMA Award (Finland's equivalent of the Grammy Award) as the best Ethno album of the year. In 2017, their song 'Alku', bought by HBO, was heard in the popular series Game of Thrones.
Tuuletar is a Finnish vocal folk hop group that touches and inspires with its creative and limitless vocal power.

Mongolia – Rock, throat singing
Mixing globalized rock music with Mongolian cultural songs (listed as UNESCO heritage), this is what UUHAI offers you through their throat singing called Khöömii and their horse-head violins also called Morin Khuur.
In a tidal wave of "uuhai" ("hoo-rah" in English), the heroic ancient Mongolian men would perform impressive displays of power with these chants shouted in unison to the blue sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, the mountains and the waters, to increase their intensity as they charged into battle without regard for their own lives.
Shouting “uuhai” was used as a spiritual mantra to demonstrate goodwill leading to good fortune, while hardening the spirit and stimulating all elements of the warrior body. In their latest single “Secret History of the Mongols” released in 2022, we find Ts. Saruul (vocals, iron ore, accordion), B. Zorigoo (Morin Khuur, Khoomei), D. Shinetsog Geni (Morin Khuur, Khoomei), D. Batbayar (percussion), D. Otgonbaatar (songwriter, composer and producer) around this audacious musical formation that transports us to a powerful and dynamic universe.
Come to the lawns of Landaoudec and let yourself be swept away in a frenzy of “uuhai”, between a rich past and an energetic present.
